Stepping through our journey of the last 3 years and how we got to this point, where we have successfully increased the number of students who leave school before the end of Y12 into apprenticeships and traineeships. How we built unique curriculum and assessment methods that heavily involved collaborative practices to understand how our students wanted to learn and then allowing students to individually differentiate their learning. How we have engaged parents by bringing them into the learning environment twice a term and keeping the communication lines open at all times. Increasing the overall expectation for each student, but understanding what success looks like for each and every individual and then moving forward from there.

AITSL Standards Addressed:
1.2 Understand how students learn
1.5 Differentiate teaching to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities
3.1 Establish challenging learning goals
3.7 Engage parents/carer in the educative process
7.3 Engage with parents/carers

Why should you attend?
You should attend if you are tracking your students beyond school and they are not succeeding or students are learning your school without being employed in further education.

What will you learn?
You will learn that there is a different way to deliver Stage 6 education and helping young people succeed holistically beyond school.
